Week 9.

Homework this week.  Finish off your Unfolding Story. It is due in on Friday 19th September. Also complete the other homework Constable Blue gives you. Make sure you have your Choice book at school every day.

Tuesday: Science Roadshow at Hutt Intermediate.

Thursday: Hutt Library. The Sound of Music-school trip at night.

Week 6:

Daffodil Day-Friday 29th August. Gold coin donation. Try to wear yellow.

Sports photos-Thursday.

Dance Splash practice at Jenkins Gym-Thursday 1:30-2:30, Friday 11:30-12:30.

Homework this week is follow-up activities from the Choice programme. Make sure you are working on your Unfolding Story. Be ready on Friday to talk about how you will present your project.

Work on Mathletics at home.  Mrs Gould has your password if you have lost it.

A Friendly Reminder:     School photos are next week.  Our class photo is on Monday morning first thing.
Remember  to come along prepared.

Friday 22 August-Teacher Only Day.

As it is a short week I will not be setting homework this week.  However you do need to have your report ready for your news group.  Also you should be practising your basic facts and spending some time on Mathletics or Study Ladder.  If you have lost your password I have a copy at school.  Don't forget to think up some good ideas for our Persuasive Writing!

Homework

Homework is due Friday 15th August.  You have a Brain Bender sheet and a Maths sheet.  Remember you have a link here to Mathletics so you can do some extra practice there.  I have your password at school if you have lost it.  You will earn points if you get your homework in on time.

Hutt Central welcomes Japanese students.

On  30th July Hutt Central students gave a warm powhiri welcome to a group of visiting Japanese students.  Take a look at some of our photos below.

The Japanese students listen to our lovely singing.

We sung three songs to welcome the Japanese students.

The Japanese students sung a song from "Frozen" in English and Japanese!

After the song, some students from their school's dance club performed for us.

Hinako and Hinata taught us to make a spinning top.

All the groups worked together to draw an interesting design on their spinning top.

We took some photos with Hinako and Hinata!

Every group showed great teamwork by drawing a spinning top together. Check out our awesome creations!

Room One had a fantastic time sharing our culture, and we also learnt a lot of new things about Japanese culture! We hope the exchange students learnt a lot, and had as much fun as we did.
